As promised above are the pictures of me as I look today. the picture on the right is a picture of what the expander looks like. I am excited to get this surgery done and out of the way. I can't wait to see what my end result will be like. Not only will this help me appearance wise but also it will help my health mentally and physically. These teeth are so crowded I struggle to clean them correctly so my teeth are rottening out of my skull and my confidence level is zero. My jaw is always sore and my bit well you see how it is the middle picture.
As for the first few days with the expander on durning this last weekend it sucked! I spent my friday hugging the toilet. Saturday with jelly legs and headaches and Sunday things started getting better. This was all because of the expander. I could hardly eat anything and was straving. I couldn't eat bread or cheese. I couldn't eat anything chewy or crunchy because for one it hurt since my teeth were sensitive from the darn contraption just being put on and two because food getting stuck between the roof of my mouth and the expander just grossed me out. My poor daughter doesn't have anymore baby oatmeal because her mama ate it all. lol Sorry Lyra Lou! But like I said Sunday things started looking up we had a Russian Easter dinner Sunday night and my Father-in-law cooked up a wonderful meal. Fried turkey!!! I will never go back to roasted turkey ever again that is the best turkey I have ever tasted. Anyways I may update before I go into surgery either that or after my surgery which is on May 9th! I am so lucky my mom will be coming into town to help with my little one. I don't know what I would do if she couldn't since the hubby is doing training during the week. With that I want to thank my grandparents for helping with getting my mom to AK for me. Thank you guys I love you!
I have always thought you to be beautiful but I can't wait for you to feel so too! I'm looking forward to being there to help you through your road to achieving that! I am proud of you for having the courage to tackle this surgery and for posting this blog that might help someone who is either contemplating or going through a SARPE themselves. See you May 7th! Love, Mom
